The Trevi Fountain

When visiting the Trevi Fountain, I turned around and tossed 3 coins into the fountain with my right hand over my left shoulder.

The first coin tossed means a repeat visit to the city.

The second coin tossed means you’ll find true love.

The third coin is said to mean marriage!

Every night the coins are collected and goes to the many charities including the Italian Red Cross. There are roughly 3,000 euros found in the fountain each night!

Did you know France, Italy, China, USA, and Spain attract the most tourism?

France is the most visited country with 89.4 million visitors and Spain being second with 82.7 million visitors.  The United States is comes in third with 79.6 million, China claims fourth with 62.9 million visitors, and Italy comes in fifth at 62.1 million visitors!

During my stay at Italy, I visited the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. I walked in the great hall where normally Kings and Queens and Popes had access to in years past. It was a gorgeous hallway with fixtures above carved in little angels. Then, I arrived in the Sistine Chapel where we were able to witness the Creation of Adam, the Last Battle, the Fight of Heaven and Hell, and so many other pieces. The painting was massive, high up above the ceiling, in a room without lights, only sunlight.

PROTIP: Purchase travel insurance! While working as a travel agent, I quickly learned just how important purchasing travel insurance was for those are are going on a trip abroad.  It is helpful to know you have care in case there is an unexpected emergency.
